Continuous survey

  • Continuous surveying has been in place since 2001.
  • The detailed structure of the Czech television population, its behaviour, television equipment and changes in respect of television transmission reception are continuously monitored.
  • It provides a time budget study of a representative sample of Czech population.
  • The main objective of the survey is to ascertain important characteristics of the households for checking and ensuring the representativity of the sample of households selected for the PEM.
  • It provides TV audience data (ownership, reception of the TV signal and individual TV stations).
  • It follows trends in ownership and usage of sumplementary TV technology, ownership of computers and the Internet.
  • It traces significant changes that are reflected in media behaviour such as progressive shut-down of analogue stations and start-up of digital terrestrial broadcast.
  • It takes place in several waves per year, with 12,000 households surveyed.
  • The provider processes it for the ATO subcontracting the Nielsen Admosphere agency.
