ATO extends selection procedure

On Monday, 27 June 2011, the Association of TV Organizations (ATO) extended the deadline for submission of tenders in the selection procedure for the provider of electronic television audience measuring by a further 60 days.

The deadline for submission of tenders in the selection procedure for the fourth wave of the peoplemeter measuring project was originally 28 June 2011. The ATO management, represented by its corporate members' statutory representatives, decided to extend the deadline by a further 60 days. The main reason behind this decision was the ATO members' common interest in making it possible for as many tenderers as possible to participate in the selection procedure. The successful tenderer is to provide the highest quality services while also economising on funds. This is the first year that the selection procedure for the new provider is being carried out by way of public tender.

The Association of TV Organizations – ATO (www.ato.cz) is an interest grouping that, since 1997, has been realising and coordinating common electronic television audience measurement surveys in the Czech Republic using a 'peoplemeter' method known as the electronic measurement project –PEM. The Association also protects the common interests of its members with respect to television broadcasting. The Association's current corporate members are the TV broadcasters Czech Television, CET 21 spol. s r.o., FTV Prima spol. s r.o. and the Czech Association of Communications Agencies, which associates leading agencies active in the field of TV advertising. Barrandov Televizní Studio, a.s. and At Media CZ became associated members of ATO on 26.5.2009 and 15.12.2009 respectively.
